I'm 50/50 between getting a clown or mime.
What are the pro's and cons of each one?
Many thanks
Ruby.

how old is she? It's an expensive precedent to set.
Clowns don't tend to thrive around here.........

bodybuilder klowns are very popular at the moment
Is a preformer something like a mould?

Sorry boxtops my daughters 3 and her family and friends will be aged 3-5.
Around here jackthehat? Are you from my area?
You like mimes better trim, I thought that maybe the children wouldn't get it as it's a little advanced?
Question Author
Lol, It's birthday party for kids cazzz not a hen night!
if you feel its advanced, why offer it as a suggestion?
I would just do a normal party, ruby - if you start providing this level of entertainment for tinies, they will expect it year after year.
a magician that specialises in children's parties or face painter/maker of balloon animals might be better - always found clowns scary.

Just had second thought after talking to my friend on the phone cazzz, or can you get kid friendly mimes? The stuck in the box gag wouldn't be fully understood I think but Im not a mime expert, do you have any experience with mimes or clowns?
Some kids are scared of clowns - just buy cake, and do children's games.
why not go for nummys suggestion....
Question Author
Nummy a "mr Tumble" typed character that specialises in all that is clown, mime and magician would be fab!
Why can't you just have a few friends round and do games like Passing the Parcel, Hunt the Thimble. She's very young to have to pay out for someone to entertain her.

I'll have a google search and look in my local telephone directory and see what i can uncover, Thanks darlings!
Ruby.
Please don't get a clown...they are freaky! Some kids may develop a fear because of it! Dont do it!!! lol

Hellywelly it's recession so I'm sure we could pick up a bargain clown or magician for next to nothing at the mo.
If they're too expensive then her dad had better get a clowns outfit and a magicmook quick sharp! loL!
Question Author
Vodkaandcoke I've never understood that clown phobia thing as I've always loved them from when my dad used to take us to the circus's when we were younger, it was only that film "it" that really put clowns in a shady light
Question Author
"magicmook"?, I meant a magic BOOK! LOL!
