She's managed to not die and sometimes lets me beat her at scrabble.

Still miss her after 25 years.
Richard Whiteley took preference to me :o)
My Mum is the most amazing person I know. She puts everyone before herself, she is is classy, glamorous, gorgeous, kind and funny. I have to thank her for passing her love of cooking and baking down to me, and I am not so thankful to her for passing down the ironing/cleaning OCD-gene! lol
Well to those who no longer have a mother whom they loved I wish happy memories. And to those who had a mother whom they despised, I wish you joy in other ways. We can't all have the stereotypical nurturing maternal figure. That is the sad way of the world.

Mr BM's mother was not always good to him. She mistreated him and his siblings some of the time. But she was still their mum and for the good points and the sacrificial things she did, he still grieves for her. Sunday will be a sad day for him as we meet with my family and my mother and her mother.

I don't know how my mother put up with me, but then, I don't know how I put up with my mother.
I know now why she gave me many a good clattering when I was young.
She has a lovely smile and appreciates everything I do for her (I think!) Has not let Alzheimer's get her down.
My Mother was a real "Mum" she really was a special Mum to me, sadly no longer with us.
Cherish your mum & let her know how much she means to you. There's never a day goes by that I don't miss mine.
This thread isn't long enough to say enough nice things about my late Mum and MiL I miss them both.
My foster-mother is intelligent, charming, creative, smart, a fab cook - pity we didnt really 'get on' when I was younger, but now she is getting on I sense that she regrets the way she treated me at times when I was little, it shows every time she hugs me, as there is real emotion in it. I forgive her.
I no longer have my mum either whom I adored perhaps too much - I had spoilt her rotten - she say to me don't buy me flowers cos you can't eat them or drink them. She was very very witty
Also could you think of my own sister who has lost her only son/child - she adored him too.
Brought seven of us up single-handedly. A true diamond. God bless you mum. x
Going out for lunch with my mother and her mother on Mother's Day. I hope one day I'm half a amazing as either of them.
I would, Ed, if she were here - she was amazing - we lost her ten years ago aged nearly 94, I still miss her being there.
She means well.
I honestly can't think of one single nice thing to say about my mum.

I am quite envious of those who are/were close to their mums. You are a lucky bunch to have known that love :)
I miss her.xx
