Not sure what section to put this in.

Over the weekend a lady has been trying to contact my partners son. They are from the North of England but now live in the South. The son does to live with us. He lives with his current girlfriend.
The lady says that he is the father of her 7 year old daughter. I have spoken to the son and he says it is possible but is not totally denying it. The lady also seems confident/positive that he is the father. The pictures of the girl also bear a resemblance to the son.

She says has been trying to find him for approx 3 years and she has discussed it with him approx 5/6 years ago. This info seems correct. She says that the case is in the hands of the CSA but she doesn't want anything from the father just to know if he is or not. She tells me that the CSA testing for DNA is free.

What my question is is would there be any other reason for involving the CSA other than what she claims or would she need to this in order to claim benefits of which ever kind??
Cheers TIA

Csa are only interested in money.....they will not, to my knowledge, do DNA testing....my oh`s son was in a similar situation..sounds like she is trying to pin him down for maintenance in a covert manner...
Well, if he's fathered a child, he has responsibilities to that child. It could be that his daughter would like to know her father. And if he's the father, he does have financial responsibilities for the child as well.

Or should we all pay for his child's upbringing?
probably after 7 years of back pay from him, rather than a fresh start as a family who see each other regularly. poor sod.
