3 Year Old Child ?

could a 3 year old child get dressed, put shoes on ,open a heavy outside door unaided ?

ok I understand now thought it was a general question.
I have 2 year old twin boy grandchildren in addition to the 3 year old. (and the other 9) The twins now work as a team , yesterday one of them got a footstool and stood on it to open the chain on the door while the other pulled the door open. I saw the two of them running down the path laughing with the dog (Labrador) in pursuit trying to round them up.

This child would have to have dressed got out of flat front door ..descended to ground floor reached to operate the security push and simultaneously pushed very heavy plate glass door open....I've been in these flats ...the doors are very heavy by adult standards ....

Anne, I echo your thoughts and hope whatever the reasons are that he is safe and with family - the differences can be sorted out later.

If it is a "domestic" and is safe and with family I hope that the person's responsible have to pay the Police for the costs of this search.

I don't know much about human little ones but even IF he had gotten dressed etc there is no way that he has stayed hidden for this long.

If I wasn't an atheist I would pray for a happy ending.

When I first heard this, my first thought was that the child was on a plane to India/Pakistan or somewhere similar. I hope I'm wrong, though better that than to find that he has come to harm.

So does that mean someone got into the house, dressed him and took him without being noticed? I only saw a little bit on the news as a client had it on, so not really sure what happened.

Yes. My son could get out of our heavy door under the age of two. So wish i could have recorded him doing it as the lock was well out of reach...

And Yes, he could dress himself at 3, he could also speak fluently and even read.
