Running Off With Someone You Love

I am looking for a female to talk to who has preferably been through a similar situation. I need advice on running off with an older man whom you were in love with. People not approving of your decisions

If the 1996 in your username reflects your age I had a relationship with an older man when I was a little older than you. I didn't have to run off with him though. Why do you need to run away with him?

@Peaspeculiars: First, I want to thank you for not rejecting how I feel! My family & I don't get a long like other families, Ik everyone has issues within the family but everyone constantly argues & there's also so much negative energy and I'm a positive person so it's hard for me being here anyhow. Yes we have discussed that matter and in all honesty I don't have a goal to disappoint my family or make them unhappy but not everyone is going to support you in certain life decisions & my happiness matters to. I can't not do something that makes me happy just because people don't approve you know? & we are definitely waiting a couple months, looking more towards the end of this year. Waiting awhile or not won't change peoples reaction tho is the thing. It doesn't matter if its a year from now or tomorrow, they will feel the same way.
nicole, no-one really goes out of their way to hurt their family and I don't think you want to hurt them at all :-) but glad that you are thinking long and hard about this. You never know, it could be the best thing that you ever do, it's just very difficult (as canary has already mentioned) for a group of strangers on the internet to offer you sound advice given that we don't know you well enough, although we will try and help in our own way.
That's why I mentioned talking to close friends? possibly an older friend who you are close to and has had some 'life experience' (not meaning to say you haven't had any life experience, but can you see what I mean?) I'm going off-line now, but I really do wish you all the best and remember: take, your, bloomin', time, missus ;-)

When I was 22yrs I started "courting" a 15yr old girl. Her family were very unhappy. She moved in with me on her 16th birthday. Her family were even less happy. 6mths later she was pregnant and her family went ballistic. We married and she gave me a baby boy. We moved away from her family because of the hostility.
That was 41 years ago. We are still together and very much in love. Her parents divorced about a year after our marriage. Don't know if our marriage was a factor. We still see her mother who, after over 40 years has come to terms with it and accepts me as a good son-in-law.
It can work but rarely does. We are probably the exception that proves the rule. I can't tell you what to do. You must make that decision for yourself.

@Peaspeculiars: You are absolutely correct, I would never want to hurt my family but on the other hand, I do want to be happy with whatever choice I do make. It's hard to know who would be on your side & who wouldn't. This definitely isn't an easy decision but to say the least, I have a plan & I'm determined to make this work out. You guys have helped me think more about it tho & yes I know what you mean by more life experience. Thank you so muchh, you're wonderful! :)
