My parents wouldn't dislike someone without a exceptionally good reason, and if they felt strongly enough to mention that reason to me I'd listen because I respect their opinions, but they also respect mine so they wouldn't be saying anything lightly, but ultimately I know it would be my decision.

Dated OH against parents' wishes, he was banned from the house. Still together after 46 years! Both brothers who had 'acceptable' spouses are both divorced!

My Mother always warned me of Catholics, "they are all sex mad or frigid" Both my wives were Catholic and my Wife to be (Carakeel) was brought a Catholic and all were schooled as Catholics. I have been an Atheist since before my teens. They say opposites attract!
