My Friend Makes Such A Big Deal Over My Choices Of Cameras, What Should I Do
21 Answers
I run a youtube channel and I have a friend who keeps on bickering on and on about me using a casio camera from 2010. The camera is a casio exilim ex s8 that films in 480p and I use quicktime pro to upconvert my videos to 720HD. My friend thinks that my camera is out of date and is suggesting me to use a sony handycam that films in 1080HD. The problem is that I love my camera and I don't wanna give it up. He keeps on going on and on about this and won't give up. What should I do ? How can I make him stop ? Is it really considered out of date to use a camera that films in 480p in 2016 ?

I am into photography and to a lesser degree video and I am of the opinion that any camera will do, and you just need to work within its limits.
Personally I use two cameras, a Canon 7D and a Fuji X-M1, if I had the bread I'd swap the Canon for a Hasselblad H5D and the Fuji for a Leica M9 but I appreciate that you can take award winning stuff with a cheapie if you know its limitations and work within those parameters.
It's a bit of a cliché now, but to a degree I go with "the best camera is the one that you have with you".
