Why Is She Glancing At My Crotch If She Is Not Interested?

Me and my close female friend started out sexually interested in each other after a few weird events (don't feel like explaining) she came to me and basically said she wants me in her life as a friend forever and didn't want sex to ruin it. I enjoy her company as a person so I say ok . A few yrs have gone by and we have been great friends, but recently, the morning after I crashed at her place after a party, She came into the guest room and woke me up to hang out, I jumped out of bed really fast forgetting about “morning wood". As I stood up I caught her staring looking at it. I immediately apologize but she just laughs it off and continued on with her day. However ever since that day whenever we hangout I constantly catch her glancing at my crotch for a few seconds and fully staring whenever I wear sweatpants but when I make a comment about it she just changes the subject or laughs it off. What does this mean? How should I go about addressing it if it continues or should I even say anything anymore since it's not hurting anyone?

But it's best not to call people out as liars. Respond to the questions if you wish; ignore them if you think them unworthy of an answer. But there's no need to denounce them.

We are biologically unconsciously programmed to assess the opposite sex in terms of procreation to further our species.

That means that, without thinking, or doing so consciously and knowingly, we check out members of the opposite sex for suitability if potential mates.

Women will check a man's height and muscle tone, and genitals for potential protection, strength, and as a provider of babies. Men will check women's breaststroke and hips as potential carriers of babies.

This is normal, biological uncontrolled instinct which we have carried for millions of years.

Adults learn to do this discreetly, adolescents a little less so, due to a combination of hormones, curiosity, and as yet undeveloped discretion.

So your friend is doing what young women do naturally, maybe with additional curiosity after her unintended glance at your 'potential ', so to speak.

You should not take this as a signal of interest, her behaviour indicates that she does not see you as boyfriend material.

A golden lesson for young men is this - if a young woman is interested in you, she will let you know, by signals which you will understand, and covert glances is not one of them.
