Yes, i was quoting Paul Newman (or misquoting him, possibly). What he meant was, why settle for something inferior when you already have the best there is.
Single now, as you all may know (or at least have guessed) but i never cheated on the mother of my 4 children - and there were a few occasions when i could have.
I was brought up to believe that adultery was the worst thing one partner could do to another. My dad's sister committed adultery on her husband, tearing 2 families apart in the process, and my dad never spoke to her again even though her husband forgave her.
Hence my dislike of the ex-PM.
