i have no clue what to do so my best friend is a boy and 14 and im a girl and 13. i knew my best friend liked me but i did not expect him to ask me to be his girlfriend. i told him no in the nicest possible way but now he sounds so sad. idk what to do bc i dont want him to be sad. hes liked me for several years. we are neighbors too so we have basically know each other since i was about 6, a few months away from 7. plus another thing is i have a crush on another guy. my best friend doesnt know i have a crush on another guy bc i didnt wanna hurt his feelings even more. now idk what to do pls helpppp!!!!!!

Explain to him that the feeling has to be mutual - if one person in the relationship isn't committed you will both end up being sad. Maybe you have a girlfriend you could introduce him to.
