Basically I went on a date with someone from a dating app yesterday didn't go well and he shorter than me but sometimes you can't tell in pics. I also didn't enjoy his company. He messaged me after saying he don't think we're suited and I said I agree I wanted someone taller than me

No, I don’t think it’s rude. If a short person was really nice then the shortness probably wouldn’t be an issue, possibly. However, this shorty didn’t want to take it further anyway so why not tell it as it is..you’re too short for me so I don’t want to take it further either. I don’t see any issue with it.

Incredibly rude and thoughtless.
He wasn’t that taken by you either . Next .
Very rude
You could probably have picked your words more carefully.

Having said that I once went on a date with a chap who was a bit forward, let me pay for the drinks and never bought one back and was rather enamoured of himself. When it became obvious to him that I wouldn't be up for a second date he text me and asserted that he was probably the most intelligent man I had spoken to in recent times. I replied, "Au contraire, I was talking to a Lawyer yesterday and he was much more intelligent than you." :-)

I went on to date the Lawyer for 4 months or so and we remain friends to this day.
Criticising behaviour is one thing, a person can adjust their attitude. Most adults can do nothing about their height, it is not something they are responsible for
I think the Guy's had a lucky escape.
It'd be a bit like him saying your picture was misleading and when he met you he realised he wanted someone better looking than you.
Yes it was. You could have left it at "I agree" rather than enumerating his weaknesses
Lol @ Tora!! I agree.
Since it's clear that neither of you saw a future on your relationship, there is nothing to be gained by either of you pointing out perceived defects in the other, especially ones which the other person has not chosen, such as dres sense, or choice of cologne.

Since you are not going to be in touch, it was unessesary of you to point out something they may already be sensitive about, I'm sure you'd be unhappy if someone did the same.

Rude? in this generation? Not at all. No big deal.

If he had contacted you and said that he wanted somebody more attarctive and with bigger t.ts, then that might have been described as rude.

Forget it.
He couldve said you smell of burgers!
I thought this generation was drumming the 'be kind' mantra
He could even have said he didn’t like women who wear New Look clothes? That would be very very rude.

that you don't always find what you are looking for!

I know and I feel bad but got him on any social media sites now
abbey; what does your last post mean? Have you missed out a word or two?
Question Author
Sorry not got him on any social media I mean
I'm confused, did I miss the post for choosing your outfit or did you just wing it?
No, I don’t think it was rude. That’s just the way the world is these days with online dating stuff.
He was too short for you, you were too ‘wrong’ for him, you’ll both get over it.
