Would It Be Wrong If I Told People That My Friend Is A Pedophile, If Im Not 100% Sure?

Like 2 years ago, a friend of mine was drunk, and feeling guilty. I asked him why, and he said that he dated an 11 year old when he was 18-19, and that he still finds minors attractive. Now this was 2 years ago, so im not exactly sure I'm remembering correctly. I'm like 97-98% that's what he said. I actually texted him, and asked him if I am remembering correctly, and he just replied "no", then I dropped it. Well, we have mutual friends that have children that he's around occasionally. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't try anything, but I feel like it's my responsibility to notify the parents of what my friend told me, or of what I think he told me. What do you think? I'm seeing a therapist soon, and I was gonna talk about it to them, but im afraid a child might be harmed between now, and then.

Yes, it would be wrong if you told people.

There is NO indication that he is a danger to children.  You could ruin his life by spreading untrue facts.

I do hope that the therapist you say you are seeing soon is to do with your obsession of wanting to drop friends, family and workmates in it.  If you carry on as you are you will have none of them and end up very lonely.

I think you need to contact him/her again.

Your desire to keep wanting to report people to the authorities is a very unhealthy one ..... you need to seek professional help .... urgently.
