well more so than the current government of the UK.

Question Author

do you want to think about that tora

but is 'prepared for all scenarios

😂

As the man says we will have to wait and see but I imagine Mr Trump will do what he thinks is best for his country - unlike our current government.

15:37 no, we have gone from the fastest growing G7 economy to near zero in 6 months. We've had a disasterous budget that will skint us all and yet not actually generate any more tax receipts. Labour are vidictively picking on anyone that's not a core labour voter, funny though they seem as rare as hens teeth now days. Even their supporters like you and canary deny voting for them. I don't think Trump or Musk are in the same league when it comes to damage to the UK. I envy the US at least they are getting a leader that wants the best for their nation, ours seem determined to self destruct it.

....no one can be that incompetant, it must be deliberate.

Question Author

i did not vote labour tora and i said i wouldn't before the last election. the reason i deny voting for them in 2024 is because i truthfully did not. i was not impressed by starmer's deceitful behaviour when you were praising him for it.

16:01 well for a non Labour voter you don't half go into bat for them.

What was I praising him for? I'll give credit where it's due even for the enemy.

Question Author

as i recall you were praising him for abandoning the leftist pledges and for purging corbynites from the party.

where have i batted for him? i have been very critical of starmer on here lol. i do however think it is absurd to suggest that donald trump is some kind of friend to this country.

The 1st 3 words of the title would have sufficed.

untitled: "as i recall you were praising him for abandoning the leftist pledges and for purging corbynites from the party. " - well I agreed that was correct. Not sure he actually did it but the idea was right.

"where have i batted for him? i have been very critical of starmer on here lol. i do however think it is absurd to suggest that donald trump is some kind of friend to this country." - You defend Labour all the time whenever there is criticism, pick any of my posts criticising and you are always contrarian.

That may have something to do with the content and tone of your posts old bean. 😄

so he's just being contrarian for the sake of it? Right oh!

'So'.

Nobody knows whether the tariffs will be imposed.

It's generally considered to be a pretty stupid idea that will hurt the US economy, but that doesn't mean Trump won't do it.
