I myself was diagnosed with this as a child and so was my husband. I don't know your son or how he behaves, but I do know that I was put on medication, (ritalin) and it made me a zombie. I was not myself. After about 2 years, my mom took me off the med b/c she felt that I didn't need it. My husband was put on a stronger medication and it made him have nightmares! there are different types of adhd and there are lots of specialist that can help you to know activities to do with your child to help him concentrate, and excercises that will help you deal with their actions reasonably.
