Hi all hope everybody is good x

I was wondering if any of you can give me any clues as to a baby name? I don't know if it's a boy or a girl so i would like either please.
I don't want something common like Emma, Amy,kate etc.
Or Thomas, Martin nathan.
Something quite unusual or of another origin. The middle names for my baby will probably be eith rose or eva or jack or william.
Hope it's not too much to ask!! x

when's baby due? I didn't have a clue for my 2nd, she was born on st georges day, so we called her Georgie. Now she thinks all the flags that go up are for her birthday.
Always loved Reece, Taylor or Tyler for a boy. What about Josie, Mia or evie for a girl. Its so hard to give names as you might hate all suggestions, which is why its nice to have a name that means something to you or someone you once knew that you really liked
Good Luck with the birth, i'm sure girl or boy the name you choose will be fantastic.

I think i like amelie iris or alexander jack but i have no clue. Babas due in mid august! Thanks for your opinion x
just remember that people will always shorten a name. You like Amelie, do you not think this will be shortened to Amy which you said you do not like. Just a thought x
PS love Jack (that's my little boys name) x
My son is called Marley Issac and im preg at the moment and he is going to be called Elijah for a girl i have always liked Daisy or Emerson Rose (Emerson is a unisex name)
My neices boys are Oscar and Caleb, friends boy is Archie, neighbours boy is Theo. I also like Gregor. Friends girls are Karys, Arriane and Alesha also Liberty and a neighbour has just called her little girl Evan and she has a boy called Kerr. My favourite gils name was Mhairi, my husbands was Jenna.

Out of that lot, my favourite combinations with your middles names are:

Gregor William
& Evan Rose
As someone with a very unusual first name I beg of you not to call your child something too unusual. The child will want people to be able to pronounce and spell it correctly, or they will go through their whole life spelling out their name to everyone they meet or speak to on the phone. I know, I have to do it. I also can't bear it when people give their child a name that people know, but spell it differently, like Amii instead of Amy or Cait instead of Kate. It might seem cute and sweet at the time, but believe you me it gets very annoying when you are an adult to still be spelling your name, or getting letters (and even birthday cards) with your name spelt wrong.
Sometimes though you don't know the babies name until you meet it! My sister-in-law had her babys name all sorted, until the baby was born. Then she realised that the baby didn't look like it suited the name she'd chosen beforehand, so she changed it.
Spudqueen..whats your name then?
mine are called
Keziah,
Esther
and Harriet
I am often told that they are unusual and they never seem to go out of date

Thanks everyone! x
yummymum - sorry I'm not telling. It's so unusual that it would identify me immediately, and I do like to be anonymous on here!
awwwwwwww
Congratulations MissyR.
We have just had a beautiful new baby granddaughter and she is called Isabella Gemma Rhian (second 2 names after sisters of the parents).
Her brother Ben has already christened her 'Izi' which is also quite pretty.
Her mum also liked the name Seren (Welsh for Star)
My other granddaughter is Megan and grandson Cieran.
My neice's baby daughter is Olivia and she is known as Liv!
I'm sure you will have a couple of names ready when the baby is born and you'll know the right name when you see your new baby.
My Dad's name was Jack Alexander so I love that name for a boy.
My children's names are Gemma Louise, Craig, Adam and Gareth. Good luck and take care of yourself in readiness for those sleepless nights.......... xx
I'm a bit of a traditionalist with names but I love the name of my new great nephew - Travis.
Checking our local paper I've noticed that lots of old fashioned names are making a come back and some of them are unusual but not outlandish. Some girls names I've spotted recently include Iris, Mabel and Mae.
My faves for a boy are Harrison and Campbell, and for a girl Eden and Georgia.
my daughter is Maisie Erin, different but not "outhere" different.
Faith, Nadia, Freya, Ria
Adam, Alfie, Alex, Alistair
My daughter's name is Thea which is very unusual - and it means goodess which we thought was lovely
Frankie, Freya, Erin, Nadia, Ria, . for girls...

and, Charlie, Elliot.. Jacob for boys..

Oh and here's are names I would not chose but I know someone with 4 kids, with these names
1 Red Roses
2. Betty Buttercup
3. Bear Sparticus
3. Blitz
I kid you not!!!!
Oh and FYI, Freya comes from the viking goddess of beauty.
