Well done to your boys Neilzulu - my two boys are 7 and 6 and at the moment do swimming, football, rugby and judo - I am happy to let them try as many things as possible at this age and hopefully they find something that suits them to continue with. Next stop basketball, tennis and golf!

I feel is is so important to get the kids out doing sport in this age of computer games. Lets hope that our kids go on to have a good career with their chosen sports :-)
p.s I am in Scotland so opportunties for Cricket are thin on the ground!

Funny isn't it, how different your kids are ? I have five children and all og them are the exact opposite to each other .Lol.
We were joking the other day at work about the money we spend on the kids activities so that they are involved in things and stay out of trouble - I came to the conclusion that it would probably just be cheaper to give them the money to go and buy drink, fags and drugs and then i wouldn't have to spend every evening taking them to all their activities!
i think its really importaint for kids to be part of a sporting club, it promotes bonding, disapline and a sense of acheivement. with friends thrown in.
im trying to encourage my cousins boy whos 9 to join his local football team, as im thinking he's spending too much time slouched in front of his x box. he said he's thinking about it! i would tell him to go, not to think about it!

My kids have all the latest games consoles but are strictly monitored on how long they can play on them. Kids need to be out & about, not vegetating in front of the t.v.
update, my cousins boy is now a member of his local footie team, and is becoming very exited about their upcomming games.
im really pleased, he's really enjoying the training, teamwork and matches.
