how long on average does your child spend (per day) on gaming consoles

my boys aged (13 12 10) think its unfair that they.re allowed 2hours per day on ps3!!! do you agree or disagree?

the 2 hour rule has come into force as of today! previouslly they.d spend hours on consoles, but surely it cant be doing them any good! thanks for your opinion x

I agree. My brother spent all last weekend on his PS3 at my dad's. My dad's had to set a limit, too, as he barely got a word out of him, let alone any quality time together. :)

My son has about 10 mins, cos he don't like it.
2 hours is probably a bit much, more like 1/2 an hour. but I am really mean and opposed to video games.

i think 2 hours a day is plenty. i used to limit my children and encouraged them to do other things such as sports etc.

My kids (7 & 6) get a maximum of an hour, and that is not every day - at the weekend they may get a bit longer if they have earned it as long as they play something like eyetoy for part of it. It is harder to control as they get older, but when the weather gets better they will probably be less interested in staying in to play and it will balance out!

I hope when my son is 10 he won't have 2 hours a day to spare between school, homework, meals, time with the rest of the family and time outside.

I am not opposed to games like that.
I just asked my husband for a WII for my birthday, but just like TV it should not become too important.

I think 2 hours every day is more than enough!
(Too much in my opinion, actually!)

i think you are all wrong ...kids on computer games is ok ...think about this ...what other things do they have .?.. carnt play football in street...carnt hang around streets in groups...carnt go to parks ..coz of ....pervs ....not good for them to watch tv..for to long ...not good for them to play computer games for to long ??? whats left ??????
to many do gooders i say ...if your son is ok ..he is doing home work egc ....let him play on the playstation 3 ...or let him out ..drink zodka ...smashing windows ...or geting beat up coz they dont like him ???

if they are happy and safe ...thats all that matters isnt it ??
