the child and parents no confustion then
i've always sent and addressed them to the child, and have never written anything religious either, (as i don't believe in god) just something more in terms of wishing for health, wealth and happiness for the person being christened.
Put parents' address on envelope.
Inside card, 'thinking of you (all) on this special day, lots of love ........ xxxxx'
I always address to the child and write the blessing
"The Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord make His face to shine upon you.
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you.
And give you peace"
