Sad Mother's Day
46 Answers
Just would like to let some of the Abers I swap questions and answers with, who knew of my 83 year old mum, that she sadly passed away yesterday afternoon on Mother's Day.
We got an unexpected call from A&E, whilst out with my Fiance's mother, to say we needed to get there. I knew she'd gone when they said they were trying to resuscitate her, but there was no cardiac output.
I'd only spoken to her earlier in the day, when she told me she was fine and that her Tesco shopping had just been delivered. I'm especially sad she won't be there for my wedding in April and will never get to meet my baby, when he's born in June.
Treasure every moment with your loved ones, the years fly by so quickly.

My mum died in 1996 before my brother married and had children. All she ever wanted was to be a granny. She was 58 years old.
I am also sorry to hear about Gravy's mother.
For almost everybody a mother is a constant in your life and we don't always full appreciate that until it is too late.

Thanks Pasta and Shaking.
I do recall when your mum went into a home Shaking and you were feeling so bad about it. Thanks for your message, time will heal and I am happy that I had her in my life for 40 years, so many people don't have that privilage. I hope you are coping with your loss and I'm sure you too have the happy loving memories of your mother.

Velvetee, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum. My dear Mum died 25 years ago, on the Friday before Mother's Day. I had her card all ready to pop round to her and then I got a phone call....
For a few years, Mother's day was a sad time for me, but then I had K. Jnr and it became a happy time again. You have your baby to look forward to and I'm sure that Mother's Day will soon be a happy day for you, too. And it will be filled with happy memories of your Mum. She'll always be with you and your family. God bless.
Gravy, my sincere condolences to you, too. Love, K xxx

Yes I am slowly coming out of the fog Velvetee but it is a slow process. I derived a great deal of comfort from fellow ABs and I am sure they stopped me from cracking up. There are a lot of genuine people on here who feel for you and no one knows of the heartache until they have gone through it. You have your baby to look forward to which must be wonderful so take care of yourself and be strong.
