My grandchildren go to bed at 7.00 to 7.30 for 3 year old,8 and nearly 10 year old.and my other daughter send hers to bed 7.00 but they can read for a while they are 4,7 and nearly 10.
We've got 5 children and they are all dressed and ready to go by 8.30 - we are very organised in the morning, but it's not rushed or hassled. We just have a routine that everyone sticks to. (If I have to do the mornings by myself we get up a little earlier and I do the packed lunches the night before.)
I can't abide being late - I would hate to be late picking the kids up from school/nursery or for them to be late getting there (fingers crossed, it hasn't happened yet).
I used to teach so I had to be in certain classrooms by certain times (or the pupils would start creating havoc) so I think I have just brought that into my 'real' life. (My youngest children are 2 year old twins so I have to be super-organised.)
Haha, I'm going into teaching too, primary though so get to stay in one room, and to be fair am always on time when I'm on placements, it's social occasions I find difficult!
My husband was primary deputy head and he's pants when it comes to being on time - maybe there's a pattern?
Hi Ummm - mine seems to be ok at 9.15 - just wanted to see if I was being mean really. The middle 2 are 8 o'clock and the little ones (just can't bring myself to call them 'The Twins') are also asleep by 8 but then they are only 2.
Ahh, maybe! It drives my boyfriend mad, I'll say I'll be at his house for say 7 then won't get there till half past, he says "Why don't you just say half 7??" but if I did I wouldn't get there till 8!
