Sole Tenant can I tell husband to leave?

I asked a question yesterday regarding my husband and as I got so much great advice I'm hoping for the same on this question.
My husband and I are separating and the tenancy for the house we rent is in my sole name. My husband is abusive and violent and has an alcohol problem which makes the violence worse. There have been approx 5 logged instances with our local police and he has a bind over order. Also, social services have been involved.
I have 3 small children (ages 5, 4 and 13 months) who have all witnessed his temper and violence.
Can I kick him out without breaking any laws?

See below - one occasion and she doesn't mention the numerous times she physically attacked me.
Just to make you all aware, the OP opened multiple catalogue accounts in my name without my knowledge and had them for in excess of 18 months. This was because she wasn't able to open them in her own name due to a terrible credit history. I only found out about them when applying to switch my credit card to a 0% balance card and was refused as these "accounts" showed up and there were multiple payments missed, pretty much shredding my credit history.
The "washing machine, fridge freezer" etc, were bought BEFORE she started opening other accounts without my knowledge, ordering women's clothing in numerous different sizes and selling it onto friends who like her could not get credit.
The "attack" happened when we were on a night out and my drink was spiked, by someone that she was having an on-going dispute with and I had no control over my actions (the fact that I got bound over for £100) testifies to that.
Something else she failed to mention was during all of this, she was having an affair.
