finally spoke to tax credits as they were closed until today and i didnt receive my payment this week- apparently they received communication saying that i DIED on 30th September! very unimpressed and shaken by this.... i find it more amazing though that they can just write someone off without a death certificate, and not even send a letter to my partner stating that he will need to reapply as an individual!

Not bored of this question...just bored in general.

I answered you. I have 3 children. I get family allowance for 1 of those. I claimed unemployment once in my life. I have claimed tax credits in the past.
Fraid not Beverley....
was a time when you got what you earned and that was it? bet you didnt refuse tho did you

I'd abandon the sueing idea, by the sounds of it you can ill afford the fees this will cost you and frankly you'd only lose out, yet again.

As others have said, whilst I can appreciate it's annoying, alarming whatever, just be grateful that it will get sorted and that you aren't really dead!

:-)
Refuse what exactly?

You're being a numpty now. My comments were about her suing. Not about whether or not I agree with tax credits.
you actually said" was a time when you got what you earned and that was it!!!!!!" what exactly did you mean then
Gina, there is something on your shoulder. It looks a bit like a giant chip...
how hilarious
That would be before the invention of tax credits.
still money for nothing
I don't follow you. My Dad went to work and brought home a wage. My Mum went to work and also brought home a wage. That's was what they lived on. They didn't get any extra help.

Mum left Dad and then had to live on one wage and maintenance payments....

We are lucky to live in a country where they boost low incomes so that a family/single parent can afford to feed their children and pay their bills.

Threatening to sue over a cock up comes across as very ungrateful in my opinion.
When my daughter was small we got nothing from the state, now apparently you're entitled to everything........when did that change?
I don't know Craft....with tax credits I think.

Which is my point...everyone receiving them should be grateful.

redhelen- it said on their automated service " calls may be monitored for training and security purposes" so i am assuming that means not all calls although i would be very happy if all calls were!! ummm i am grateful for tax credits but the point is i am entitled to them therefore i am having them... and if i sort my money out around receiving payments then i should not have to expect to be told i am not getting them because im dead! this is not my error- its theirs! and if someone isnt doing their job properly then heads should roll
Well im really glad my post was ignored, so glad i typed it now :-)
You're a little fish I'm afraid. Heads will not roll...
