My 14 yrs old son and his teenage way.

I wonder if any ABers can give me hope!!! My 14 yrs old son has, in the last year become almost moronic. He has become moody, hardly speaks and can hardly string a sentence together without seriously having to concentrate and punctuate with the word 'like' after every other word. He is still doing well at school fortunately but does not like being told 'no' without a strop and 'you're ruining my life' rant after.
Now I know this is all classic teenage angst (which neither I nor my sister had incidentally) but how long will it last??? Any personal experiences or stories from anyone out there? x

I didn't understand your post Sqad. I don't use any sort of psychology, I just do what I need to do to make life a bit easier. I am no psychologist, just a mum who understands what Le Chat and the others are talking about, and instead of going to sleep annoyed with her I give her a kiss - makes me feel better!
HJT....;-)......I am not sure that I understood it either..;-)

Jemisa - I know what it means technically but from what I have heard it is not used always as 'isn't it?' it is just put at the end of a sentence and means sod all....except that the user has no brain power probably! lol
HJT40 - Loved your list of scenarios. Thank you X
my kids are 29, 26 and 24, their teenage years are just a blur to me now but I survibed it, I wouldn't relive that time for a gold clock
just so, Dotty, if there was some was they could jump straight from 10 and loving to 20 and self-sufficient.
*some way*

reading this thread with interest. I find EVERY Sunday a write-off. The teenage syndrome gets much worse on this day of the week.
What is the best way not to argue with a 16 year old son? I always seem to be arguing with him!
He's just so grumpy and rude at times.
It really upsets me. I would appreciate your comments.
