Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

Morning all...I was thinking what a lovely light morning it was and then I realised I'd slept late. Jude should have set her alarm :) Neti, re the baby, you have mail. I mentioned it yesterday afternoon. thwack! ....for not paying attention... I think this will be my song du jour...

Yoohoo Jude...hayfever seems to be really bad this year. Have a good time with your friends.

Yes neti, I was thinking its about time we did. I'll sort something at the weekend ...suggestions appreciated.
goodness, that's a very late poppy, woofgang - I thought they were all supposed to be delivered by Christmas? Or was this one of the rare April Poppies?
Question Author
They were all supposed to be delivered by the end of march, then i got an email saying bear with us we have got less than 5% to deliver. mid march i had heard nothing so I chased them and they confirmed my order and that they hadn't shipped it yet, mid april, I chased again and they never replied so 48 hours later I chased again, again no answer. I was about to phone them and it has turned up. its unbroken but evidently one from the installation because its still muddy, either that or they have done some cunning fakery! I am pleased to have it but I have to say that the angst of chasing it has somewhat taken the gilt off....maybe I am just getting old and grumpy.
I'd be muttering about poor service too, considering how long ago they started taking them down.
Morning all
Nice sunny one but it doesn't look very promising for the weekend .
Rain forecast but we do need it .
That's a long wait woofy ,but at least it's arrived.Perhaps they were suffering from posting poppies fatigue .
Nice to see our Jude .I'm all bunged up with watering itchy eyes .Perhaps the rain will lay the dust .
at least it's arrived in time for Anzac Day, so you can pretend it's an Australian poppy from Gallipoli. I saw some services bands rehearsing yesterday down by St James's Park for a ceremony at the cenotaph this weekend for the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli. I've just an email from a Scottish friend who's currently holidaying in Sydney and is going to a service tomorrow, which I imagine will be very big indeed.

hello all. I am going to have to find an alternative to my current hayfever med (ceritizine) its supposed to be non drowsy but even half a one taken the night before leaves me dopey all the following day. I have been asleep all morning. Its pleasant but not exactly how I want to spend the summer.
Good day folks. An o. Yet another new phone. The one I got as a (unneeded)replacement didn't accept my micro sim cards. I argued back and forth and they said it was the sim fault so I insisted they tries then in another phone. Hey presto working. So they gave am this one and put the other one back in the window for sale! The girl there first of all said it would have to go back for repair. I've not had it a week and not used it. Anyway all's well now.
Question Author
what is it with you and phones Neti? I am having a ridiculous day here. I don't feel ill, just soooo sleepy and knocked out and I only took half of a tablet 18 hours ago. Have had two very large coffees and a can of coke and even that isn't keeping me awake.
woofgang, that's what my doc told me when she put me on cetirizine, that it's non drowsy. But drowsiness seems to be a very common side effect (which is a Good Thing as far as I am concerned).

There is also a warning saying do not take cetirizine if you are allergic to cetirizine.
Question Author
I've always been a bit susceptible JNO, with the "old" antihistamines I had no control, would fall asleep sitting up. When I was younger I was fine on cetirizine but as I have got older the drowsiness has got worse. I definitely couldn't have driven safely today. Was going to try the beconase I keep on hand for sinusitis but I have lost it! Its a drive to a pharmacy round here so no chance of replacing today. I don't mind the drowsiness at night and take the tabs in the evening but it just doesn't wear off overnight any more. Moan moan grumble moan

I love that "do not take xxx id you are allergic to xxx" It seems to be a common Pharmaceutical behind coverer these days
evenin all...it's been a lovely day, not quite as warm as yesterday but very acceptable...apart from the hayfever symptoms (the same as the rest of the world it seems). Young gardener came and mowed agin, looks lovely, better the second time. Yes, I hate to say it but we do need a drop of rain.
Been lovely here too, couldn't find enough to wash and clean, in that sort of mood! Made a cottage pie for dinner, didn't have enough pots so I added a wee bit of instant mash, he didn't notice.

Its a end of season sale down the main street tomorrow, all the shops have stalls, you can get good bargains but not many! Mr N bought me a big chrome watch last year, nice of him I thought! There is a rockin' band in the square tonight. We almost went out for a curry but decided to do it tomorrow.

I must be "getting" old, I like be clean and tucked up in bed early or maybe am still getting over sis's visit!!!

Hope you feel better woofy. Hija finds surprisingly (!) that she has no hayfever in Dubai, She'd be lucky to even see a tree where she lives!!!

celebrate with me! I found the beconase!!
Morning snufflers...celebrate with me, I found a wad of cash! Ok, stop it with the begging letters...it was in my dream, haha. Actually I found a dog first that had been abandoned outside a shop. I took it round the market to see if anyone recognised it and suddenly it picked up this cash. I had been seen by a few people and I took it to the nearest stallholder to be counted so we could try and find who'd lost it. The bundle also contained some vintage cards or small packets. Work that one out. :)

So where was the rain then? Not a drop here and I'd hoped to find the garden freshly watered this morning.
our water butt was empty and now it's full. I'll just check if any of it is labelled Derbyshire.
well I want it back jno...

BING BONG - You all have mail
Question Author
it rained steadily all night here, not heavy but lovely spring rain which has done the garden no end of good.
Question Author
