Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Oh that's very sad about Anne Kirkbride .Not many of the old timers left now in Corrie although I haven't watched it for years .

I love paintings, so real.

Had to clean behind the computer desk, wow what a mess, has taken me hours, cos decided to spring clean the room whilst I was at it, found two pieces of Mr N's Taj Majal 3d puzzle (which I had lost in the first place!)

Was freezing this am, out in hats, gloves anoraks thick boots, but sun is out now and it's a lovely drying day.

Have made apricots tarts (well pies actually) they look delicious!

I'm dithering about getting one of those pie makers Neti .I find anything like that a chore these days ,making pastry ,with my fumble fingers .
Do you make the pastry yourself or use ready made ?
I could batch cook fillings and freeze I suppose .

I buy the shortcrust and the flaky and use them both, my homemade pastry is like rock, impossible to eat. Yes even I am eating pies now, although I think Mr N may be getting a tad fed up with them. Never thought of freezing some, that's a good idea. Get the deep fill one as sister got the normal one, but she says there not too much filling and it's all pastry. And not a soggy bottom in sight!!
