Taxi or bus is even better!
Spritzer
that depends on the strength of the lager and how much of what wine is in the spritzer.
A ½ pint of lager and lime contains about 1.1 units of alcohol if it's made with a 'basic' lager (such as Carlsberg or Carling) or about 1.4 units if it's made with a 'premium' lager (such as Stella Artois or Kronenbourg 1664).

Assuming that it's served in a ½ pint glass (with a 50/50 mix) a spritzer contains around 1.8 units of alcohol.

As a VERY rough guide:
1 unit of alcohol produces minor measurable impairment to reaction times but won't put anyone 'over the limit'.

2 units produces considerably more impairment to driving ability but is unlikely to be 'over the limit'.

3 units would push some people over the drink/drive limit but others might remain within it.

4 units would put nearly everyone over the limit.

To calculate when it's safe to drive after consuming alcohol, add up the units consumed and add 1. The resultant figure is a guide to how many hours must elapse, after finishing the last drink, before it's safe to drive.

OH my goodness think i'll do what I usually do and have lemonade, thanks all for input xx
And how much you've had to eat and how your body deals with alcohol and....well the list is quite extensive. Over a long evening it is easy to consume enough alcohol to take you over the limit with either drink.

Minimum 12 months ban, considerably increased insurance for many years. Nil is definitely best.
I've gotta admit, I love my beer at the weekends. I don't drink during the week, but if I have to drive for whatever reason on a night out, I NEVER drink alcohol - it's not worth the risk.
My opinion - go for J20, coke, lemonade, etc.
'Zero is the sensible thing' - not really. There's a yeast called Saccharomyces cerevisiae that can live in the stomach and is known to produce alcohol from carohydrates. This means that even those who have never touched a drop can show some degree of positive for blood alcohol tests.
Lemonade, unless I can pursuade Trish it's her turn to drive.
