Champagne versus Cava

Drank champagne with our Christmas lunch, Cava with our Boxing Day lunch and not sure I could notice much real difference in the quality as both were enjoyable. Is champagne really worth the extra money?

I don't think so. Personally I prefer Cava.

Cava IS champagne, only made in Spain not the Champagne region of France, which is why it can't be called champagne.
