lemon curd - not had it in years but bought it for my son to try as he likes drinking lemon juice!
Was ecclescakes nice?
Hello. we like to try different foods everyday, i look up various foodie websights and see what i have in the cupboard then go for it.
never the same thing twice.
Ham and cheese toasties....
recently bought a jar of peanut butter, hadn't had any for years, and it reminded me why i'm not very keen, kind of clogs the mouth up.
am getting a it bored with the same old stuff myself nextqueen, have been shopping in different supermarkets to give me some different ideas. in fact, have gone off cooking really too, happens from time to time.

Oysters

I had a couple of dodgy tummies a few years ago after eating them, and it put me off. I was really nervous about having them again.

I decided to have another go recently, and I was okay.

And I'd forgotten just how fab they are.

Now, I'm on a bit of a roll, and I've been scoffing them a couple of times a week.
After the new ruling does that mean they can only be called Eccles cakes if they are made in Eccles?
Oh god no JJ - i could'nt even contemplate an oyster - just not my thing - If i dont like the look of something, there is no way its going in my mouth! ;-)
they had a pack of samphire in the veg section of our local asda, wouldn't know what to do with that.
Quails' eggs. Delicious with celery salt. For lunch, put with prosciutto, olives, sheeep or goat's cheese, crusty bread anb tomato juice.
Just can't understand fussy folk. Either food is wholesome and safe or it aint.
Main thing is not to spend good money on cheapo stuff. Good on you nextqueen!
oooh, oysters with lemon queezed over, could just eat of of those..
Orange Aero. Still GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
right, i'm off to bed before i go and raid the fridge, all this talk of lovely food on here and cream teas on the other thread is making me hungry.
Eth, would have thought you would have gathered your own samphire having spent so much time in Norfolk. ;o) Poor man's asparagas.

Steam it and eat it with vinegar.
Just one thing Daisy, If you count "sheeep" does it take longer to get to sleeep lol.
Lemon curd for us too. My friend mentioned she'd got some from M&S and couldn't stop eating it. I got a jar yesterday, Mr ask has nearly gone through a loaf of wholemeal bread.
No need to count sheep seadogg, just watching lambs frisking tires me out enough to sleep.
Hmmm, I really fancy some samphire now!!! I haven't had any since I left Suffolk where I used to pick it up at the Wyken farmers' market.
