Thing is I don't eat fish
I only eat red meat and then only at weekends so it's a good idea for me to take on fish Friday. What's the best and least fishy tasting one to start of with

I remember reading that fresh Tuna isn't very fishy. Never tried it and I imagine it might be expensive.

I hate bones. If I find a bone in my mouth I am completely finished with eating any more. And they never guarantee it is going to be completely without bones. If they did I would eat more fish.

If you can guarantee it toldyaso I will definitely try it.
Tuna is a very meaty fish, but expensive. Try steamed mackerel, no bones and again, a very meaty fish.
Skate wings are nice, more like chicken, but can be expensive. Maybe try a fish pie with cod, salmond and prawns in a creamy sauce topped with mashed potato.
I love catfish but have only had it in America, can't stand tuna! I love fish-finger sandwiches on thick white bread smothered in tomato sauce. Also there is a fish that begins with B (can't remember its name, will find out)) which is cheaper and I think nicer than cod. As a total alternative try some ostrich steaks (from Lidl).
Enjoy!
the fish that is yummy and cheaper than cod is basa, vietnamese river cobler. Fillets have no bones and are delicious.
That's the one, Woofgang, thank you, I can never remember its name, get it from Morrisons. Also skate wings have no small bones, you eat one side and pull the bones off for the other side. Skate cheeks are lovely too, but cod head soup isn't! Also prawns, scallops, monkfish and oysters are great. I want blackened catfish in Bourbon sauce again! Hungry now.
You could try coley fillets. They are similar to cod and if you make a fish pie it should be too fishy smelling.
I agree about Basa. If you have a Morrisons near you they do Basa in a black pepper batter that is really yum. quite mild tasting and have never found a fish in it. Don't google to see what it looks like in its natural state though, Tis not a pretty sight.
