Your foodie threads fasinate me Mercia,do you run a small hotel or B&B? The menus seem very lavish for just a normal family,or maybe thats just my world lol. Love the sound of tonight's offerings, can you tell me how you do your spicy wedges, daughter loves them but only has them when eating out.
I'm having a 3 bird roast tonight.

Just me and hubby tonight although I do do alot of entertaining. Spicy wedges:

1 baking potato per person
spray or a little cooking oil
Spices of choice - eg BBQ spice, curry mix, or mix your own, eg: sweet paprika, garlic powder and a pinch of salt or a crumbled oxo cube
about 1-2 tablespoons full altogether

Scrub potatoes and cut in half length-wise, then in half again and again so you have eight wedges. Boil in salted water for 5 mins. Drain and allow to dry off. Spray or brush with a little cooking oil and sprinkle over spice mix till well covered, and cook in the oven for 30-40 mins or until cooked (cooking times vary as to what type of potato used and size.

Weight-watchers who want to do without the oil can put the wedges into a plastic bag after boiling and shake the spices on and place on a tray and roast off.
