when i cook frozen pies in silver foil cases the top cooks but the pastry on the bottom of the pie is raw. i have tried cooking them on the floor of the oven but the pastry on the bottom still does not cook properly. how do i cook them so that the bottom of the pie gets cooked as well as the top. i have even tried turning them over when the top is cooked but then they just collapse. thanks for any replys

Try cooking for longer on a lower temp. Do you glaze the top?
Try placing the Pies on a Baking Tray in their Foil and cook at the right Temp as indicated on the Pack.

i do cook them as instructed on the packet but the pastry on the bottom is raw. i have tried cooking for longer on a lower heat. that does'nt work either
I have never experienced this problem so haven't a clue what you are doing wrong. Have you got a fan oven? I always put mine on a pre-heated baking tray too, on the middle shelf. Sorry, can't help.
Do other things cook ok?

I've never had a problem with pies. Might have pie tonight now :-)
I think the secret is to have the baking tray VERY hot before placing the uncooked pie on it.
Maybe it's the pies you buy? Some do cook bettter than others. I agree with coriander, put the baking tray in the oven while it's heating up & make sure the pie goes straight from the freezer to the hot tray, don't leave it out before cooking.
Turn them over half way through...
I'd say a bit longer at the <same> temperature.
