Oh, I have chicken livers.
I do.
My family insist on it when we have get-togethers. :o)
I don't make paté but know many people who do. You use a lot more meat and less fat than the shop bought ones and you can add things like brandy etc. All in all they have more taste.
Are you talking about wigs for bald men?
sorry, gone off on a silly tangent.
I do that in food.... ;-)

No, I love pate but have never made it myself.
Top tips Jack?
Or top wigs.....?
Chicken Livers
Garlic
Onion
Paprika
Brandy
S+P
Butter
Bay Leaf

Fry Chicken livers in a little oil together with the onion and garlic.
Put in blender - add Paprika, Brandy and seasoning.
Whizz to smooth consistency.
Spoon into ramekins.
Pour over melted butter to seal and decorate with bay leaf.

C'mon Jack...

I rarely see chicken livers in the supermarket but spotted some today. 98p...not bad :-)
usually in the freezer.....cheap as chips

And I can treat myself to a brandy shandy after :-)

Cheers Jack. I will attempt that tomorrow. I have all the ingredients except brandy....
Question Author
I never thought of looking in the freezer section...
More info, I think.......

Chicken Livers - remove any stringy bits.
Garlic - crushed
Onion - Finely chopped
Paprika - to taste
Brandy - a good glug
S+P
Butter
Bay Leaf

I do it 'by eye', in the main and then adjust 'to taste'......
Pate also meaning the top of the head that is bald.

Just in case anyone thinks I've gone bonkers or been swigging the gin from my hip flask....

Some of them I read used mustard powder. Have you ever tried it with that?
Sounds good. Will experiment tonight and report back.

Lol Salla.

Wondered what you were on about. Just put it down to you having a little 'moment'
I have many little moments ummmm. But sometimes, surprisingly, if you analyse the crap, I can make a modicum of sense x
No..............but I can see that it would be an 'acceptable' ingredient.

I may just try that next time. :o)
Question Author
I'll do mine tomorrow :-)

I've already bought him some ribs for todays starter.

Well, it's not actually a started as such....it's just a snack to stop them asking me when dinner will be ready.
