Doing dinner tomorrow night for myself, my mother and OH's parents (OH working). It's the parents' first introduction.

3 meat eaters, 1 vegetarian.

or

4 fish lovers but 1 hates salmon.

I want to cook something impressive, but don't want to spend all day in the kitchen.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

Thanks, Mazie.

DT, that looks lovely. I'm not a monkfish lover but I could always find a substitute.

Ed, that looks fabulous. We all love seabass, I'm just not sure what polenta is as I've never had it.
Question Author
Swordfish is lush, not sure whether FIL would like it though.
You need a robust white fish, NoM, do you like sea bass as that would hold.

Good excuse for a nice big wine like A Vicars Choice or their sister wine, a St Clair Pioneer Block. Or something like a Puligny-Montrachet.
