Ocean's Edge Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, NZ.

From Marlborough, the feted wine-making region in NZ's South Island (one of the most southerly inhabited islands in the world) comes this sumptuous, mouth-watering Sauvignon Blanc Cuvee. With aromas of apple, honey and freshly-cut grass and all the tropical fruit and gooseberry flavours you'd expect from a regular Sauv Blanc, this superb vino is given that extra va va voom with a wonderful, persistent stream of fine bubbles. Excellent for all occasions and all the best components in one delicious glass!

The other cool thing about this wine is it comes in a revolutionary resealable bottle.

Available in Tesco for the normal price of £9.99. Watch out for special offers on this wine.

BJ and I ended up with some lovely Rosés from our party last week. One was a Stowells Californian Zinfandel. It had lovely flavours of Strawberries and Cream and a wonderful scent of magnolia. It's a really delicious summer guzzler.

Someone bought us a bottle of Hock, too, but I won't hold it against them...
chuck it in a casserole
Question Author
I did that recently but it came out so sweet. He liked it but I didn't.

Had to mention the Blossom Hill Californian Zinfandel Rosé I imbibed last night. Yet another donation to our barbeque/party the other week. I don't know the price, but I should imagine it's available in most of the supermarkets. At 10% it can hardly be regarded as a serious wine, but it makes for pleasant sipping nonetheless. I really am starting to appreciate the delicacy of these fruity little rosés, which are less likely to leave you feeling rueful the following morning.
