please give me some ideas for hubby's sandwich fillings.  I do the norm like egg mayonnaise, sardines, cheese and ham - but I'm bored doing them so he must be bored with eating them.  Nothing too difficult or fiddly, something tasty I can slap together,  Cheers!

Tuna & Mayo with red onion, jalepenos and loads of cracked black pepper. ;o)

I did my fella tuna and salad cream with spring onion and orange pepper and coarse black pepper the other day.

He also likes cheese, ham and humous salad sandwiches or cheese and marmite, cheese and pickle, cheese and salad cream, cheese, ham and salad....... as you probably guessed he likes cheese.

Oooh, and ham and mustard, or haslet and mutard/ pickle.

hummus and roasted vegetables. salami and cream cheese. Anything with salad can make a difference, using different salad leaves. Better still you can try using tortilla wraps for a change as well with any of these fillings.

Mmmmm anything with hummus (sp??) YUM! My old housemate used to make sandwiches out of anything- lasagne, sweet and sour stir fry, curry, chilli - anything he could slap between two slices of bread. As for "normal" sandwiches, tuna mayo and cucumber/sweetcorn etc is yum, ortry using pitta bread to make things different. Peanut butter and banana/ham and salami and cheese/egg mayo and ready salted crisp sandwiches are yum. chicken and avaocado, roast chicken and stuffing mmmmmmm, chocoate spread (if he feels like being a kid), bacon chicken and ham mmmmm amstarving now!

spanish omelette sandwiches are nice, just buttered bread and cold spanish omelette. or how about cold roast chicken and salad, BLTs or cold sausage sandwiches? also if you use different kinds of bread it'll make normal sandwiches more interesting, e.g. ciabatta, baguette, pitta bread, bagels or toasted muffins

Bagels with sliced avocado and crispy bacon.

Hoummous and grated carrot or sliced beetroot.

Chicken tikka and yogurt/mint sauce.

Peanut butter and apple.

Grated cheese with raisins (double yum)

Mozzarella with basil and sliced tomatoes.

Cold sausage, beans and grated cheese.

When i was a chef we used to do club sandwiches there were 2 types: Chicken, boiled eggs mashed up and bacon all binded with mayo, slap it on a toast, then slap another toast on that, on top of that put salad, toms and Qs and slap another toast on top of it all and VOILA!

Or there is also (for the fish lover): Prawns, salmon, chives all binded with mayo, then do the same as the 1st one!!

MMM im starving now!!

Dont forget theres also the Panini ( Herb Bagette) Yum! You cold do all that and slap it on those too!

Iwhen at school we used to have meat and potato pie butties. we usually bought them from the local shop, and it consisted of an oven bottom muffin ( barmcake to southerners) with brown sauce, and a M & P pie slapped in the middle. If we were a bit short of cash, it would be a brown sauce butty ( the same but minus the pie)

ham and cream cheese bagel, cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel, ham and mango chutney sarnie, that ready cooked crispy bacon in a sarnie or bagel with cream cheese and ketchup, any cold meat with coleslaw (bit messy that, he might need to take the slaw in a pot and add it just before eating)....hungry, must eat now.....
forgot tuna mixed with creamed horseradish

Brown bread with mashed banana & crushed nuts.

Bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon

prawn mayo on brown bread

B.L.T.

peanut butter and jam

So many thank you - I am literally drooling now I have finished reading - you all certainly lead delicious lives.

Cheese, Branston and onion

My favourite; egg and tomato sauce (like egg mayonnaise, but use tom sauce instead)

A quater of sweet peanuts please
Chicken , spring onion and mayo. Even nicer with salad leaves
Get the lazy monkey to make them himself. :)

Cheese and Coleslaw,  Prawn Mayonnaise, Bacon and Egg, Prawn and Avacado,  Roast Chicken with Mango Chutney, Beetroot and Cheese - not too fiddly.

Bacon and Brie

Cheese and Pickle

Cold, homemade bolognaise.

Anything involving tomato or onion make up the night before and keep in fridge - tomato/onion becomes nice and squidgy.
All time favourite, egg, tuna, red onion, anchovie, olive and mayo.
