I know someone who, whilst eating, will select the best bits of her meal and push them to the edge of her plate... saving them for the last 'best-est' mouthful. I find this totally bizarre but have since found someone else who also does this. Anyone else?

No worries... I asked didn't I. Yes she did B00. Funny looking thing. Doubt it'll kill many rodents... you need to get yourself a mongrel Domestic Short Hair ;-p
Hey, she'll be 17 foot tall by the time she's fully grown! Fully grown men will sob when they see her stomping towards them :P
more likely to get cold on the edge of the plate, isn't it? I leave the good bits in the middle and work my way toward them.
I used to that when I was little, until I realise that my Dad would nick the chips off the edge of the plate if I didn't eat them!
me too
I also eat my jam dougnuts the same as Buenchico.
It's good to know that there are other sensible people around, CD ;-)

Unfortunately, I can't offer you one of the pack of doughnuts I bought in Tesco this afternoon, 'cos I've eaten all five of them!
It's comforting isn't it Buenchico, you'll be pleased to know that my step-dad is also 'one of us' ;0)

I've been craving doughnuts for I don't know how long, I daren't buy them though as they're one of the few things I can't stop at 'just one' of.
Why not save the best till last? You do not have to eat everything on your plate.
I like this idea snags, the urgency of hunger forces you to eat food quicker without savouring it properly, if you fill the hunger gap, you can then enjoy the best parts of the meal at a leisurely pace savouring the remaining mouthfuls.
I've always done that! Eating sandwiches are the worst as people notice me turning it round and examining it more haha :)
Exactly Daisy... although I learnt the hard way to not fill myself up before the best bits!

It's very sensible caz, I really enjoy selecting and putting all the best bits together as well.

I do that as well Erin... :c)
My ex used to do it. He used to call it the piece de resistance!
It's a far more common habit than you think.
