Recipe for Robin Cake

An Elderly neighbour is looking for a recipe for Robin Cake which her Grandmother made her as a young girl.Does anyone have a recipe?She thinks it might have been a ginger cake but not sure.

Google it. There seems to be a lot about it. One says it is like Parkin (ginger)

Most Google references go to links about Batman & Robin Cakes or Christmas Cakes with robins on them. By refining my search down to this line:

"robin cake" -batman -christmas -"robin's cake" "ginger"

Unfortunately it only mentions that it's a local speciality around the Colne Valley area. However it's also clear that at least one of the volunteers who run the museum knows how to make it (since it's been served in the museum's café).
