Try rye bread. But it is a bit chewy and more expensive (Tesco do a good one on the Fresh Baked department) I also thought gluten meant wheat, until I realised I could eat oats!!. Pizza is a bit of a nightmare but Sainsbury sell a Gluten free one that is not half bad. they also do pastry but I haven't tried it, in the frozen area NB gluten free often includes wheat free just because wheat does have gluten in it. Tesco, Sainsbury M&S and Morrisons all have a gluten free selection although Tesco and Morrison does not have frozen (not sure about M&S frozen) If you get the chance to try Genius bread give it a try. It is nicer than most of the GF alternatives. Also, the plain Ryvita is wheatfree. (Be careful of the fancy ones they often have it in.) Also be wary of some sweets and gravy mixes. Wheat is in Allsorts!!! The wheatfree pastas are all OK. It is worth getting an "own brand" one, but I would not recommend the penne as it tends to stick together, either way cook in the usual way but add some oil before adding the pasta and keep it moving. I use this pasta with pasta sauces to take for lunch to work. Life is not as complicated as you think. There are alternatives. Just be grateful you are not coeliac!!! Good luck and welcome to feeling well.
