Bought some white eggs from the market because I often see them used in TV cookery programs and curious what they taste like. I got told off by my mum not to buy them because they tasted bland compared to hen eggs and she was right. Buy organic hen eggs if you can afford them, the taste is very different from standard battery eggs.

I think duck eggs are white too - occasionally seen in supermarkets, particularly the upmarket ones.

Can't ever recall seeing goose eggs other than in a farm shop. They are larger

Don't think you do anything different with them

No idea on taste, sorry

Its almost tomorrow......
Goose eggs are slightly stronger in taste and colour but apart from adjusting the amount used to cater for the size you use them just like hens eggs.
Eggs other than hens' are not usually available in major retailing outlets because of low demand. I remember duck eggs from my childhood. They are expensive, though - one duck egg will cost you roughly the same price as 6 hen eggs. A boiled duck egg for breakfast was delicious - the downside was that the fishy aftertaste stayed with you for 2 days.
goose eggs do taste quite a bit stronger than hens eggs, some supermarkets do sell them, they are an aquired taste, I personally find the taste too strong!..but try them, and decide for yourself!......

I don't recall a fishy aftertaste. Maybe it depends on what you feed them on ?

The French don't eat much - an egg is un oeuf for them.
Well they are both birds, but one is smaller and usually found on the water, whilst the other is white and bigger. Oh and one honks, but the other goes quack.

Funny story...

A while back, I had seen a recipe I fancied trying, whilst in Asda I stopped a supervisor and asked 'Do you only sell hen's eggs', she went off to have a confab with another member of staff - returned and said 'No, we sell chicken eggs too'.

The shell colour should make no difference to the taste. It's what's inside that counts.
