...spare celery, carrots, cherry toms and some creme fraiche? It all needs using up, and I was thinking of some sort of side dish, but need some inspiration. I have all of the usual herbs/spices/stocks, etc. Thanks! :)

Should make a good soup
I'd make a creamy pasta sauce with that lot, or if you don't like pasta, fill a jacket potato.
I`d add some cajun spices or garlic and herb to the creme fraiche, and use it as a dip for the sliced celery, carrots etc.

I'd braise the veg then make a nice vegetable omelette.
Crudite - simply cut the long veg into batons, mix the creme fraiche with some mayo and flavour with a little curry powder and eat as a starter/tv snack.
First thing I'd suggest is to use the spare celery to maximum potential by placing it on the top of your compost heap. Then no one has to actually taste it.

Luvverly, thanks guys. Haha! Old_Geezer, I really like it! :)

Got a few days away, so using up what's in the fridge; any more ideas what I could do with it to go with a big, fat meat pie we've found? :)
Roast the veg - dump the creme fraiche
I'm with OG, ditch the celery, poisonous bloody green things, right up there with cucumbers on the Vile Scale!

<waves to WS> hello! Long time no speaky, hope you're well :-)
