Why would you not want to touch them ? They're only meat balls.

When I was little mother used to heat them in the oven with a little fat; roasting them I suppose. I suppose you could use oil instead,; well I have. Or you could do what Mr. Brain does and swamp them in gravy then let them simmer (in the oven again).

If really that fastidious pick them up with tongs or something.
