Am going to a party tomorrow where the buffet is supplied by the guests. You bring a dish according to the colour of your ticket and mine says "things like quiche" which suggests a lot of quiche will be supplied. Anyone any ideas of something a bit different but suitable for a buffet?

I think this just means savory things. Everyone always seems to like pizza bits cut up, and small finger food like samosas and pakoras, sausage rolls, chicken satays. Maybe you should bring an actual quiche - everyone else is probably thinking the same as you and not bringing one...
there are not of things that are "like quiche" that aren't actually quiche!  i suppose  a custard tart looks a bit like quiche. or do an unusual flavour, like curry
What colour's your ticket?  Am I too late?
