50's themed incentive day

i need some food ideas for an incentive day. but nothing that needs to be cooked on the premises as i won;t let them have a cooker

Boo- its where they incentivise staff them into selling more bu thememing the day or having prizes etc. it works pretty well and they do some mad stuff, think this will be a funny one to watch

Are you talking American 50's themed food? I've just recently finished giving my dining room an American 50's style diner look and it's my pride and joy! :o) I'd go for ice cream sundaes, cherry pie, apple pie (both of these can be served with ice cream of squirty cream), homemade chocolate chip cookies (these could be cooked beforehand and taken to the event), muffins (but not the English kind).

Soda fountain maybe then different ice creams, tinned fruit, jelly ...toppings.... sundae dishes cream soda, root beer and coke

I think spam was chiefly a wartime thing, though food rationing didn't finally end until 1954. But you probably didn't get it in American diners. (Though it seems to have been invented in Minnesota.)

Occasionally, supermarkets such as Asda, sell the "six-packs" of Coca Cola in the small 50s style glass bottles. I bought some a couple of months ago. They'd look the part at your 50's themed party.

Pure 1950's - a salad consisting of a lettuce leaf, a slice each of tomato and cucumber, a raddish, half a hardboiled egg and a dollop of salad cream

i think they wanted british but they couldn;t come up with many ideas without cooking.

its looks like we're going to be having a milk bar??

i have suggested fish paste sarnies (as i'm evil) but jelly or anything that wobbles is banned from the building
