Does anyone remember a two piece bar with green crackly mint filling, I think it was called mint cracknel. I loved it

Yeah, they were fab!!  The centre was a lurid green and quite sharp but boy, they tasted fine!!

Yes, yes, yes ! .... I was talking about this the other day and everyone thought I was mad. Weren't they made by Cadburys and called "Ice Breaker" ?

The inside was almost like a green "glass", which, if bitten without care could actually cut your tongue. And if I remember correctly the wrapper was a pale metallic aqua.

"Chocolate covered shards of mint-flavoured car windshield".

I remember Ice breaker being a different bar.  It came in a slab with squares to break off and had bits of pale green mint in, I think.

Oh yes justineo, I do remember Mint Cracknel and I loved it too. My parents had a sweet shop then and I was saving up my pocket money to buy my sister an Easter egg, but after a few weeks the Mint Cracknel won out and my sister never got her egg! I wonder why they stopped making them.

Talking about that green mint crackly bar, when i was a kid i used to suck the chocolate of my bars, imagine my surprise when doing this to the green minty thing to find a perfect pink panther on the front!!!. I can only assume they used an old mould for a similar sized bar.

Yeah!!!!!!! Was down the pub tonight and mint cracknel just sprang to mind. Amazing what a few white wines do to your memory. No one else knew what I was talking about (as usual, apparently) and had to look it up on the pooter when I got home. Mint bloomin cracknels. Why Oh why did they stop making them?. They were just bloomin gorgeous. So gorgeous it took me about twenty five years or more to remember them. Bring then back Pleeeeeaaassee!!
