What truth is there that if your ice cream has ice on top you should not eat that part of it because it may make you ill? It may well have had to melt a bit and re-freeze but I am sure this does not apply to every tub of ice cream that has ice on the ice cream.

personally i wouldnt eat it, as you said it means it would have melted quite a bit and refreezed and i get freaked out by the thought of an upset tummy from food!

but it does say on any frozen product not to refreeze, this is particularly important with dairy produce

You are lucky nowadays if ANY ordinary Ice Cream contains ANY Dairy Products,have alook at the label you may be shocked :( ! LOL

i know, must admit i spend quite a lot to get real dairy ice cream! better for my little boy as a treat!
