It's my sons birthday on Saturday if I bake him a birtyhday cake today will it keep for a couple of days and be ok? thanks

When my mum bakes birthday cakes, she makes it a few days before she decorates it, and then freezes it so it's ready for when she needs it. Still tastes as lovely as if she'd just baked it fresh!
