Trying to do something different at least once a week for dinner. Last week, i did chicken and chorizo paella and it was delish thanks to your guidance. This week, im doing corned beef hash which i can ashamedly admit to never eating, let alone cooking.

So ive got me spuds, 2 tins of corned beef....a two-and-a-half-quid each !!!!!!!! baked beans, cheese, worcester sauce, onions, garlic and lots of dried herbs and spices.

So tell me your recipes.

Serve up each portion with a fried egg on it..............
leave out the corned beef...
Corned beef hash is one of my favourite meals - enjoy !
soften chopped onions in marg. (not lard)
Drain the boiled spuds well, dice the corned beef and mash into the spuds. A small knob of butter when mashing the spuds.
Stir in the onions. Return to fry pan and let it crisp up underneath and flip over to do the other side.
Season the spuds well whilst boiling.

Serve with beans if you must, ignore the cheese and garlic and herbs please :-)
mashed spuds with butter, add chopped corn beef, sauted onions and loads of grated cheese - mix together and pop under the grill to crisp up.
I made this the other night, didn't like it as much as I thought I would.
alba's recipe is good, but craft is wrong.......it needs two fried eggs.
Ever since I saw on the tin that heart was in corned beef, I went right of it! Pity, cos I used to like it... just goes to show how we can be put off things!
We have it work sometimes, the cook throws in some baked beans in the mix, its actually very nice. two fried eggs on the top.
Corned beef ash is always better the next day warmed up yummy!
My recipe is what my Grandma used to make
Boil spuds as usual cut into cubes along with chopped onions and sliced carrots season as desired, when cooked add oxo or bisto to colour and thicken.dice corned beef and add to stew for last 2 minutes serve hot with mini yorkshire puddings.
O coccinelle you've just put me off it now - thanks !
Sorry chaptazbru, I really am. But if you want let's pretend I didn't say anything. OK?
Oh cocci who told you that corned beef had heart in it?
Too late now I'm afraid .........
The great thing about corned beef hash is you can make two quite different, but equally delicious, versions. Sometimes I make a stewed version which is sloppy, but I also love making the stir fried version where the corned beef and onion, along with the precooked tiny potato pieces, get nice and crispy. And don't forget the HP sauce
When in Hamburg I always head for the Docks for the authentic this ; http://germanfood.about.com/od/hamburg/r/Labskaus.htm
Grumpy; it's on the tin...
I don't mind corn beef but it isn't worth the price it is now.
Didn't it used to be about threepence a tin?
Just checked on Google can't see any mention of heart - think I'll stick with that !!
I don't realy care if it does have heart in it,it gives it a bit of flavour lol
