Not sure, but I'll use this as an excuse to pop down the shop and find out!

i agree with you all chocolate bars seem smaller now
a finger of fudge is no longer "just enough"
Yep - and Mars Bars and Twix and Rolo ............ marketing ploy so we think they are still good value. Goes on in all types of food.
a finger of fudge is just enough to give a kid a treat...a finger of fudge is just enough and very good to eat....
Yes, I can fit a whole fudge bar in my mouth in one go now.
I noticed that myself when I was raiding the kids selection boxes the other day.
Not sure, but I'll use this as an excuse to pop down the shop and find out!

a finger of fudge is just enough to get my tastebuds going.does anyone know what size the bars were when they first came out?
all confectionery, chocolate bars, crisps, biscuits, are smaller, and costlier, it's a swizz.

always confused.i like that.they are small enough now to pop in my purse for when i need a sugar rush.i think i am getting good value when i get 6 for a pound but now thinking maybe i'm not?

on a mission now must find out what size they were when they first came out in 1948.by the way the tune to that advert came from the lincolnshire poacher
yes they are smaller, I always push one inside each Christmas cracker as an extra, and they only just fitted, now they dissapear with space to spare, I think waggon wheels are tiny compared to what they once were as well.
If you eat many fudgebars then the answer to your question might be, "both" !
yorkie bars are certainly shorter than they used to be
It was on tv that they have made ready meals smaller now but they are still the same price - total con.
It's easier to disguise a smaller item then a price increase.

yes vulcan2 you are so right.but i would love to know what size they were when they first came out all those years ago.i know for a fact tha they have doubled in price since the 80's cos they wer 10p then and i reckon they were double the size.
My favourite bar of chocolate was (you may not remember) but I do - it was a bar of chocolate and they were made of up 8 squares and every one of them was milk tray. So beautiful when you were a little girl.
