Mr BM has asked if I can come up with a raffle prize of a hamper of home produce. (Mr BM has volunteered this - *bangs head on wall*).
I was thinking
beetroot chutney
spiced apricot chutney
Victoria sponge
lemon curd
1/2 doz fresh eggs
Can anyone think of anything else?

Barmaid is talented in many fields, I don't think she has mentioned her time at a potters wheel to make cups and saucers though!
Choc truffles are realtively quick and easy to make. Def think that a fruit cake would be better than a Vicky Sponge.
If you made a terrine in a kilner jar it would keep quite well at ambient temp if not opened.

Another idea - the dry ingredients and instructions to a cookie recipe in a jar.
Very simple to put together.

Thank you all. I knew I could get some ideas here. You really are a great bunch. Strangely, my mate just phoned, so I was having a rant and he said "post on that website you are a member of"...... lol
My next thread will be "how can I kill Mr BM and get away with it".................
And no, I don't really "do" pottery, although I can turn my hand to many things. However, perhaps I should get a potters wheel. My first project may be a funeral urn.

Who's head are you planning on banging against a wall?
I posted this joke a couple of weeks back - seems apt here.
[i]In a dark and hazy room, peering into a crystal ball, the Mystic delivered grave news:
"There's no easy way to tell you this, so I'll just be blunt. Prepare yourself to be a widow. Your husband will die a violent and horrible death this year.
"Visibly shaken, Laura stared at the woman's lined face, then at the single flickering candle, then down at her hands. She took a few deep breaths to compose herself and to stop her mind racing.
She simply had to know She met the Fortune Teller's gaze, steadied her voice and asked........
"Will I be acquitted?"[i]
