How Much Takeaway Do You Eat?

According to this the average person has 12 takeaways a month. That seems like loads to me!

I'd probably have three in one month, tops. I get the odd Indian and the occasional trip to Mcdonalds or KFC if I'm feeling really lazy. Aside from feeling like I've gained 10 stone after each of those meals, I wouldn't be able to afford to do that much more often.

How much take-out do you reckon you eat in a month?

When I split up from the first Mr Craft and lived on my own for the first time every week I had a Chinese, an Indian, fish and chips, kebab, or a KFC.................I never put any weight on.

You must have a very fast metabolism Craft. I gain 7lbs just thinking about fried chicken.
Very rarely. Maybe once every 6 months.
One every five of six months I'd estimate. Maybe every four or five months if we count the occasional fish & chips that I occasionally get when in town during lunchtime, and so have no time to get myself something when I get back before rushing into work. It used to be more regular but it's difficult to square with my desire to lose weight. I feel guilty every time I get one. (If I want an Indian I go to the restaurant !)
We might have fish and chips, or a kebab, about once every three weeks. 12 is three a week - that's awful.
1 or 2 a month at most. Does nobody know how to cook now?
Maybe once a year at most. I live out of delis in other countries though but that doesn`t count as it`s usually healthy stuff like salads. They only surveyed 2000 people so that`s hardly a cross section of the country.
Fish and chips now and again or something from the kebab place. Don't like Chinese or Indian food and as for KFC ...yuk .
I suppose on average about every couple of months .Six times a year .
It's too expensive to have on a regular basis .
Fish and chips for two costs a tenner .I couldn't finance that twelve times a month !

We eat out quite a lot but rarely have takeaways, maybe once a month?

When I was earning a lot more (working longer and more antisocial hours) and especially living in the city centre I ate out and got takeaway a lot more often but rarely now.

Randomly I've just had one, from a place who cooks to order in an open kitchen so none of that MSG crap but only as I was short on time getting home from work and getting fed up as fasting from 6pm until a hospital test tomorrow - having thought it was this morning so fasted for no reason yesterday - my scales will be more impressed than I was haha! :)
Not very many these days!

I would have thought though, that as a single person, it is probably a lot cheaper to eat a takeaway rather than buy all the ingredients for a meal. McD isn't expensive, in my opinion.
Are we counting Maccy D's in this? I know a lot of people who have that once a week at the very least.
I hardly ever have takeaways. Can't bleedin' afford it.
Since I've been dieting I have had takeaway 3 times in the last 18 months. I don't really miss it at all.
When I worked in London for a year I lived in a hotel so ate in restaurants the whole time....................I put 2 stone on.
12 a month?!!!

We probably have takeaway twice a month. Sometimes more if we've been out etc but 12 a month is a lot!
I don't think I've ever gotten one-as long as I've been in the UK. Daughter ordered pizza once on a visit here-it was foul.
I do get tempted sometimes when menus come through the door.
four or five a year, and then it's fish and chips, other local takeaway offerings are so dire you'd have to be desperate
I take back what I said...we had fish and chips a few times when we lived in a village-many moons ago. Lil pasta never liked it-so it never became a habit.
not sure fish and chips really counts as takeaway in this country pasta, it's more of an institution

our chippy make their own fab steak pies as well
